A small portion of each membership passes through to the California State PTA and National PTA — that's what makes us part of the largest child-advocacy organization in the U.S. Everything else, plus all donations, stays right here at Hirsch.
No. Membership carries zero obligations — many members simply pay dues and enjoy knowing they've funded programs for every student. Meetings and volunteering are always open to you, never required.

Everyone who cares about Hirsch students: parents, guardians, grandparents, aunts and uncles, teachers, staff, and community members. You do not need a child enrolled at Hirsch.
Yes, and it helps! Each membership adds a vote and additional support for programs. Grandparents and other family members are welcome too.
They're separate. Dues make you a member with voting rights; a portion supports the state and national PTA. Donations are 100% local and tax-deductible — you can do either or both. See ways to give.
Memberships run for one school year and renew each fall. Join any time — dues are the same year-round.
